Battery Plates shall consist of clean sorted lead/lead oxide battery plates and may not contain foreign materials such as plastic, or glass. The only other material that might be included could be lead connectors.

Lead Acid Batteries are the most demanding commodity in today’s world because of its utility and use. Thus the scrap generation is more and it needs Organized Recycling.

Battery Scrap when obtained in an organized industry of Lead Recycling is crushed down into its segments viz. Battery plates (Lead Grids/ Plates), Lead paste (Oxides/Sulphates), Separators and the PP.

Out of the above Battery Plates & Lead paste are essential for generation of Lead by Recycling. Due to metallic form of the Battery Plates, Recycling is easy. These are simply refined in the Lead Refining Furnace just by melting with chemical treatments. This leads to production of Pure Lead.
